Clearfork Farmers Market……my destination every Saturday morning….well, almost!
Ever since my family discovered Clearfork area in Fort Worth, we just couldn’t resist going there most of the time.
Why? it’s just nice there…what else? well, yes, there are high end stores at their shopping mall…eye candies for me! just eye candies!
There’s also the beautiful Trinity river and the popular Press Cafe by the river.
Well, most of all, there’s the Farmers Market! and Texselect Farms with this awesome guy named Sage, who introduced me and my family to their antioxidant-rich, locally grown organic micronutrient-loaded microgreens!
Sage has educated me on the names and uses of these different kinds of micro greens. As I couldn’t remember which name to which micro greens, I always have him on video on Facebook Live to identify each kind. So now I tag Texselect Farms on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and hashtagged too!
These micro greens like pea shoots, arugula, Swiss chard, radish, and my favorite beetroots! They are just so “cute”…if that’s even a word to describe these tiny vegetables, that are full leafy, full of fiber, less acidic! They are perfect for my #FoodsWithoutTheBurnBook recipes!
Now I use these greens in almost all dishes I prepare for my family as they are intensely flavorful, very tender(that you almost are very careful about handling them).
I use them in salads, appetizers, soups, smoothies and mostly as garnishes. I can also munch on them…just like that…like a snack 🙂
I only told you about the micro greens….next time I’ll show you other discoveries at the Clearfork Farmers Market…you never know what you’ll find….or discover about yourself!
See you there every Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon!
(Don’t know where it is? well, you have to live in Fort Worth, Texas first of all…then Google it 🙂
